SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) — SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization — the practice of optimizing websites to rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs) organically.
What is SEO?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of improving a website's visibility in organic (non-paid) search engine results. SEO involves optimizing content, HTML source code, and the site's authority to help search engines understand and rank pages for relevant queries.
Types of SEO
- On-Page SEO — Optimizing content, title tags, meta descriptions, headings, and internal links on individual pages
- Off-Page SEO — Building backlinks and external signals that increase a site's authority
- Technical SEO — Improving site speed, mobile-friendliness, crawlability, and indexation
- Local SEO — Optimizing for location-based searches and Google Business Profile
Why SEO Matters
SEO is critical because organic search drives 53% of all website traffic. Unlike paid advertising, SEO provides sustainable traffic growth that compounds over time.
